The article dwells upon little studied topic of Russia’s export of fish products produced in the Lower Volga to Europe in the XVIIth century. Main forms of trade and geography of fish products export from Russia are considered as well as the role of treasury and of foreign merchants in fish trade at international markets, and use of fish resources in different spheres of economy.
